§ 14-155. Absence from work without notice considered job abandonment.
Latest version.
Any employee who is absent for three consecutive working days, without having notified his immediate superior, shall be considered to have abandoned his position from the employment of the city. The department director or designee shall take reasonable affirmative steps to ascertain the whereabouts of the employee before effectuating this rule.
