§ 20-164. Exemptions from article.

  • (a)

    This article shall not apply to a farmer who peddles, sells or offers for sale farm produce from door to door, house to house, or building to building, provided such farm produce was grown or raised by such farmer, the burden of proof being on the person asserting that he is a farmer and that he grew or raised such farm produce.

    (b)

    The term "peddler" as defined in this article shall not include or be construed to include any person engaged in interstate commerce or any person upon whom the provisions of this article would impose a direct and unlawful burden on interstate commerce.
