§ 23-101. Revocation of license.

  • (a)

    The public works official may revoke any pier license if the official reasonably believes that:

    (1)

    The licensee has failed to maintain a permanent telephone number and permanent address;

    (2)

    The licensee's pier is unsanitary;

    (3)

    The licensee's pier is being used in violation of any of the ordinances of the city;

    (4)

    The licensee's pier is a hazard to navigation;

    (5)

    The sewage or garbage facilities on the licensee's adjacent premises are insufficient or are causing pollution;

    (6)

    The licensee's pier is not structurally sound; or

    (7)

    In the case of commercial piers, the licensee is in default of any parks concession permit or contract as determined by the parks director.

    (b)

    The public works official shall remove the license tag from the pier within 48 hours after revocation of the license and shall not return the license tag until the official determines that the owner has taken steps to comply with all applicable laws, permit requirements and contractual requirements.
