§ 2-73. Fee for district petitions.

  • The city secretary's office is hereby designated as the filing place for all petitions and requests for consent that are required by state law to be filed with the city for the inclusion of any land within the city or its area of extraterritorial jurisdiction in any district created under the authority of article III, section 52 or article XVI, section 59 of the Texas Constitution, whether by virtue of the creation of the district or the change of boundaries of a district in existence. There is hereby imposed a fee in the amount stated for this provision in the city fee schedule, which shall be payable upon the filing of each petition or request for consent in order to defray the city's costs in reviewing the same.
