§ 15-48. Request for qualifications.

(a)

The purpose of the RFQ method is to identify the highest qualified vendor with whom the city would then negotiate a reasonable fee.

(b)

The Professional Services Procurement Act of the Texas Government Code, Chapter 2254, requires that the selection of architects, engineers, and land surveyors be made based on qualifications. Price shall not be considered in such selection.

(c)

Other types of professional services may be procured using a RFQ when the CPO determines that the RFQ method is in the best interest of the city.
