§ 23-14. Recreational activities prohibited in cove adjacent to patrol facility.

  • (a)

    The chief of police is authorized to cause the cove area adjacent to the Lake Houston Patrol Facility at 22619 West Shorewood Loop to be marked off by buoys and signage as an area that is restricted to public access.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a vessel, fish, swim, or perform other activities within the area restricted pursuant to subsection (a). It is a defense to prosecution under this section that the person is designated in section 23-9 of this chapter and is engaged in official business, or is otherwise engaged in the rendition of official police patrol, rescue, or emergency activities.
